Spacious park with a nice long pull through pad. Turning out of our site was a little challenging as a 90-degree turn was required insufficient paved flare turn out. Had an over or under voltage on the 50 amp plug so stepped down our amperage to 30 recommend a voltage/surge protector/detector.
This is a nice state park and the rates are decent compared to other states pricing. The roads are all paved and most sites have a concrete pad. BEWARE of sites 43 to 57 if you have a large RV. It will be difficult to get parked if you have a big RV. We have a 42 ft long 5th wheel and we chose site 49 along the lake and it was extremely difficult to back in. Fortunately we arrived during the week and the park is almost empty, but the weekends turn into party central with multiple cars at individual sites with some on the roads!
Beautiful park! Large concrete pads, showers, laundry from what I was told by a local and super friendly staff. No fire rings...what? How can we make smores?
Quiet campground located on the river.
Love this park, 1st time back in 25 yrs and its still great. Family oriented!! No loud, drunkards. Jourdan river running through the park. No wifi, has it good and bad points.
Great Park. We stayed here for a weekend, and barely scratched the surface. The spots were great and level. The huge park was a hit with our kids, and the paved roads made for some fun bike rides.
Nice place to camp. Great view of the river.
Weekend nights- RV and campers with people who are loud, rude, and yelling obscenities while drunk all night. No rules enforced and golf carts with drunks tearing through the area even if kids are in the way. Boaters are usually hammered as well. A very south MS experience. During the day is pretty decent, but if it's a weekend then don't stay with children after nightfall unless that's your sort of thing.
Park is clean and well maintained. Staff is very friendly and hospitable. Some of the are a challenge to get backed into and some sites need some work. Close to many attractions, but wooded enough to enjoy the quiet outdoors. All in all, it is a nice campground.
The park is really nice, but no internet & no cable made it kinda hard to do what I needed to do. But, it did cause me to completely unplug so that's good too.
