McDonald's Broadbeach is One of the busiest McDonald's stores on the Gold Coast therefore errors, mistakes etc are inevitable BUT pulling into the drive thru to see the window operator half out the window talking with the person in the car ahead - playing on a phone. At first I wasn't phased. However The operator sees me and continues. A minute or so waiting, This also didn't phase me. However a few more minutes later, it appeared as though the young girls are friends and just enjoying a conversation in the drive thru. That's when I pulled out the camera. A car pulled up behind me and within a minute a males voice came through the speaker and asked if I had my order taken yet. I answer no, competed my order and off I drove off towards work. The promotional free McPop with any large Mc Cafe purchasen, I opened the bag to find that it appears as though its half eaten. Great! I rode that off and wasn't overly phased just shaking my head Until! My First sip of my coffee and it's clear it's the wrong order.nThat was enough for me to turn around and return to the store.nWhat is going on in that store!nnThe manager looks exhausted and in need of a raise. He listened to the feedback and issued a refund. Kudos to him for a quick resolution.
Zandar was fixing some of my issues with a lot of patience. He is genuinely efficient and very understanding. Even in a clearly stressful and fast-paced environment, he remained friendly, professional, and willing to help in the best possible way. That level of service is not very common at McDonald’s nowadays, and it really made a difference.
Today McDonald's isn't really crowded, but this girl,” Isabella” clearly doesn't seem to want to work. I asked her to upgrade my coffee to a larger size, and she didn't even respond. She rudely did it without saying a word or even looking at me. I offered her change, but she still ignored me and filled my change with coins because I paid in cash. I know she's paid by the hour, but she clearly doesn't care about providing good service. She told me she couldn't do it either, that I hadn't asked, and that she said NO in an angry tone. I didn't say anything else because if I answered back, I'd be even more embarrassed, to be honest... then she laughed after what she did to me. Anyway, I'll never go back here.
What I witnessed was beyond unacceptable — it was absolutely disgraceful.nnThere are 15-year-old kids. Children. Yet they were being verbally attacked, mocked, and humiliated by fellow crew members in what should be a supportive workplace — whether they were from the same store or elsewhere, it makes no difference. That is not “banter.” That is not “training.” It is bullying — plain and simple — and it is dangerous.nnWhat made the situation even more disturbing was that fellow staff were openly laughing about it in front of waiting customers, as though it were something amusing. There was no professionalism, no remorse, and no sense of accountability — just open ridicule from their own colleagues.nnNo teenager should ever have to endure that in a work environment that is supposed to be safe. If this is the behavior being displayed publicly by members of the team, I have no doubt the treatment behind closed doors could be far worse — and quite frankly, I don’t even want to imagine how bad it may have been.nnThis reflects a serious failure of leadership and basic human decency. It is unacceptable, and it warrants immediate investigation and accountability.
Ordered through the McDonald’s app. Order delivered quickly however half the order missing. When I called, I was given a brush off and told that if I wanted a refund I’d have to drive over there to get a refund as they would not be able to refund through the app which I paid through. Ripped off by McDonald’s yet again.
