I visited the Sydney airport McDonald's. If you have a last minute flight cancellation and have it transferred to another airline you might find that a last minute hotel booking might not be possible, which is what happened to me. Like in the Tom Hanks movie I was stuck in the airport for more than 24hrs. Melbourne airport has showers but not this one. So McDonald's is where I went. Loitering law: it isn't how much you spend intially, it is the money that you spend at intervals for the time that you are there, so that you don't annoy the business owner. It's not an airport lounge, but I'd imagine a lot of people use it for this. So I scheduled my purchases according. I met a young Taiwanese couple on 457 working holiday tourist visas who had been working in a slaughter house. They were pointing at the various categories of meat in the McDonald's posters and seemed to be a bit of an expert on them. At one point a staff member had too clean so we moved outside. I asked if the animals looked afraid before they die, they said it happens so quickly that they don't know. But I think they can smell death. Some of the menu items double after midnight probably because of the penalty rates wages they have to pay and the scant foot traffic takes on a ghost town McDonald's. The menus of McDonald's vary around the world and state by state. I try not to fuel their demand for foreign European underpaid agricultural backpacker labour they use to collect salad ingredients.

I waited for over 12 minutes for my chicken nuggets and frozen coke which is fine because I work in fast food too, but I'm not fine when the staff are having a laugh and not taking their job seriously until a manager finally asked multiple times on the wait for the nuggets. After all that, my nuggets weren't even that good and rather oily.

Looks so flashy and they didn’t burn my coffee 👍 And that’s the kind of service I would expect from one of McDonalds flagship stores. Fast, friendly and delicious
