Story

“Portabella is the product of our dream to create a quality, suburban restaurant providing superior food and service.

Our chefs use traditional French cooking methods and techniques with stocks, sauces and reductions taking up to 48hours to create.

No shortcuts.

Our entire menu is made from fresh, local ingredients with absolutely everything from breads to desserts made on the premises. Our menu is simple yet deliciously tasty and colourful.

The service is abit slow to say the least. I waited 40 minutes for a table with the staff assuring me they would get me at the bar as soon as one was ready only to see numerous other people seated before us. The food on the other hand was very nice and quick to come out. The pork had a great depth of flavours, however was abit dry in parts.

Great mixture of food. But food wasn't that great. I ordered pork belly dish it tasted like leftover burnt and I couldn't eat it. Presentation was great would have been better If it were delicious as it looks. Disappointing. Cozy nice local restaurant. Attentive staff.Highly recommended

Enjoyed an anniversary dinner last night. Service and meals were first class. The young lady who served us was a delight - no pressure to influence our decisions on food or drink.

Enjoyed a delicious dinner last night for our Anniversary. We had the Lamb shank. And rib fillet. With the crunchiest bowl of beer batter chips I have ever had. Service was great and the steak was cooked to perfection. Desert was delicious ordered the chocolate mousse and apple crumple. I thought it was gonna cost alot. For the quality of food and drinks for two it was well worth the price and will definitely be back for more. 😊
