Maroondah Reservoir Park

Such a beautiful park. I plan on coming back some day to use the bbq and picnic facilities. There is plenty of shade as well as open spaces, seating and tables, rotundas and playground equipment. You can walk right across the top of the dam to get some amazing views and see the sundial. If you're athletic try the Rose Steps which ascend 250m to a viewing point at the top. There is signposted information about the construction of the dam and parkland as well as the history of the area and information about the water usage. THE WATER HERE IS DRINKING WATER, NO SWIMMING IS ALLOWED.

A great place to visit and especially if you love a good walk. The views are spectacular and so also the drive from Melbourne. If you are an ornithologist you will enjoy the variety of birds. Great views of the dam from the top.

Great picnic areas and easy walks with kids (not pram friendly though). Small playground, plenty of toilets, great views from top of dam

beautiful place for a walk.. the top of the dam is just 250 walk up from the car park. up thet steps then a bit of an uphill hike. good views excellent.

A good place to visit. Lots of places for picnic. Interesting examples of 1940 - 1950 architecture and landscaping in the park under the dam , but it needs some TLC.
