"The Yarra Valley Railway is a not-for-profit, community based, volunteer-run organisation, operating a tourist heritage train from Healesville Station. Train rides on the heritage Walker Railmotor depart Healesville Station hourly from 10am to 4pm every Sunday, Public Holiday and Wednesday during School Holidays. The Railmotor travels through the beautiful Yarra Valley to Tunnel Hill near Tarrawarra before returning to Healesville Station.The Yarra Valley Railway is actively restoring the rail corridor to Yarra Glen."

This railway is fantastic. Whilst the trip is short a bit over 1/2 hour all up it’s very enjoyable riding the historic train,nLooking forward to the day when the tracks are upgraded all the way to Yarra Glen.
Was great to finally get a ride on here. We were booked on when it first started, but the day before our trip, it was cancelled to fix a problem, we missed out a mnth ago by 5mins, so it was great to pass through on Sunday, and saw station opened, so we got tickets to go on the 3pm run. Last one of the day. Got my son a Vic rail t-shirt. We got 2 t-shirts a month ago instead of a ride, and a bag, tea towel etc. A bit of everything they had really, but worth it.
Wow, what a ride, even tho it was a short trip and wet, still 100% worth it.nStaff were very friendly and helpful and made the experience amazing. I would recommend doing it. You never know who you will meet.nThank you, guys, for a wonderful afternoonnAnd I look forward to returning soon.
Amazing experience, lovely volunteers and a relaxing educational trip. Train themed playground nearby which my toddler loved!
Good fun for all ages on heritage railway.
