I have been a patient with this centre for over 40 years. A doctor (who is now retired) from this centre delivered my younger sister and brother. My parents still visit here and they live over 30 minutes drive. I have trusted these doctors with my health and wellbeing for many years, however my experience with them today was disgusting! I had a question about something that I was promised and when I questioned them about this and asked to speak with senior management I was denied this.  I had a procedure done with them that was not successful through no fault of my own and was told that this would be done free of charge to rectify their mistake and this was not the case.  I was mislead by a doctor that I trusted.  She told me that she could do the procedure yet I felt uncomfortable whilst having this procedure and when I asked her if this was the first time (she had told me she could confidently do) she had done this procedure she did not answer me.  I was referred to a specialist to rectify this unsuccessful procedure for free and now I am expected to pay $270 of which I have already paid $200 to Manningham Medical Centre about $200. Then when I approached Manningham Medical Centre to try and sort out this issue the Manager would not even speak to me and tried to refer me back to the specialist, who should not be left out  of pocket from the misleading of my gp.  I asked several times to speak with a decision maker and was refused this.  I am now taking this to the AMA and Health Services Commissioner  as I am so disappointed with this entire experience.  Everyone involved in this situation should be really ashamed of their professionalism and huge lack of customer service given to me.  If I am a first time customer or like me a long term (over 40 years) I should have been given much better customer service today instead of brushed under the carpet like something that doesn't matter.  I had a very personal (female) procedure unsuccessfully performed and no one seems to care.  I am so very frustrated and upset with the way this has been handled and (as a National Customer Service Manager for a very large Australian organisation) would like to suggest that better customer service training is offered to your team.  I cannot begin to tell you how disappointed I am.
