We recently engaged Manning Funerals to look after all aspects of the funeral arrangements for a much loved husband, father, father in law and grandfather in our family.  Martha-Louise, the owner of the business, was our point of contact and was personally involved throughout.  The service that she and Manning Funerals provided was excellent.   Dealing with the death of a loved one, irrespective of the circumstances surrounding the person passing, is emotional and sad.  Martha-Louise is a very caring person and is experienced in assisting families in navigating the funeral process and related legal requirements in a sensitive way that is responsive to the particular needs and wishes of the surviving family members.  Martha-Louise is deeply respectful of the deceased, flexible in accommodating the wishes of family members including to view the deceased in her Funeral Cottage and is readily able to accommodate different styles of celebrating, reflecting on and remembering the life of the deceased in the funeral service.  In all of our interactions with her, we got the sense that Martha-Louise views her role as an act of service to the deceased and their family at a difficult time, rather than being a business transaction.   We feel fortunate that we found her as she provided to us exactly what we wanted, for a transparent and reasonable cost, in a kind and caring way.  It will be clear from the above that I and the other members of our family would highly recommend Martha-Louise and Manning Funerals to others.

I could not recommend Manning Funerals and Martha-Louise highly enough.  Its never an easy time when a family member passes away, but if you want a caring and personalised approach then look no further.  Martha-Louise is able to guide you through the process with empathy and  care and you know your loved one is in safe hands.  I am so grateful for Martha-Louise's approach with my mother and I know that she was respected, safe and cared for in a way that she would have approved of, so thank you!

Martha-Louise looked after our mother and her funeral arrangements after she passed away suddenly 6 months ago.  It has taken me a while to write this review as I think any sudden death takes time to process.  I cannot speak highly enough of the care and support that Martha-Louise showed to me through navigating the immediate aftermath of mum’s passing, the various tasks that needed to be dealt with, and the organisation of her funeral.  I will be forever grateful for the way mum was looked after by Martha-Louis and how she helped me organise a funeral that was truely a celebration of mum’s life in full colour! Martha Louise and the team at Manning Funerals are a kind, compassionate group of professionals who helped my family and I process and prepare a wonderful and respectful celebration of life in what is a truely difficult time. I’ve been struggling to put down in words just how grateful we are to Martha-Louise and Manning Funerals. Our loved one was already in Martha-Louise’s care when family were told of his death, and he couldn’t have been in better hands. We were in unfamiliar territory but Martha-Louise was always there to guide us, and even went into bat for the family when red tape held things up. I can’t speak too highly of Martha-Louise's professionalism and kindness.

Martha-Louise is a wonderful person to work with in a time of stress, such as the loss of a loved one.We found her to be warm, kind, responsive and felt confident that our mother was in "good hands". This is not the first time we have used her services and we have no hesitation in recommending Martha- Louise   if we are asked. Thank you again for a lovely personalised service.

Martha-Louise from Manning Funerals organised the most beautiful ceremony for my partner. It was her sence to capture who he was and how we wanted to celebrate him by connecting different cultures and areas of his life. It was the details and compassion that made it a wonderful farewell we all will look back to gratefully. Thank you Martha-Louise, you are truly a treasure on our journey of letting a loved one go.

Martha made my Mum's funeral very special.  She went through every detail, gave us suggestions and ideas,  how we could make it better and memorable.  I would refer her to friends because she would go out of her way to make it unique.  She makes time to talk to the family and is in no rush.  She is awesome.
