Story

We are a collective of family and friends with a mutual love for fresh food and the arts. Mandala can be categorised in many ways: a lively restaurant and cafe; an art gallery; a live music venue; a performance space; a movie theatre; a permaculture garden; a community centre; a kids play space; and much more!

Beautiful atmosphere. Customer service amazing everyone lovely and warm and welcoming. Super helpful. Waitress explained menu and even went through what she recommended if hungry vs starving. Had mushroom pizza, small as pictured, amazing. Would definitely come back and recommend. All vegan food. We sat outside which was a lovely environment and nice and cool on a hot day. Family of magpies outside but very polite and didn't nag us for food like some birds would.

Oh wow! The pizzas here are amazing! Who would have thought they were vegan. I'm a person who loves my meat but you don't miss it with all the goodness they put into the food here. Don't ask me to recommend a pizza. They're ALL good! The housemade gin is pretty special too. The staff are fantastic. They will also do split bills if you're nice ;) Don't mind the outdoor loos, the place is rustic. It's just part of its charm.

Great atmosphere and events. Love the dancing, music, film nights and other events. Food is usually innovative, creative and delicious, even for non vegans. Staff are welcoming and helpful.. apart from one occasion when the waitress couldn't seem to get it together and the bill didn't quite tally, but the manager did sort it our courteously. Will be back frequently, love it!

Vegan food was good, but service...not so much. We didn't book a table, and the place was around 35% capacity, but staff seemed very stressed and rushed. We were seated nevertheless, and ordered one of the pizzas to share. When we requested if it would be possible to only have olives on half the pizza, she responded "The chef will be mad if you ask for that. He doesn't like to change anything. There's already a 45 minute wait for food and if you ask for that it will be longer. So i suggest you just pick them off". A very bizarre response!! We agreed with puzzled looks on our faces - what kind of chef are they employing here!! To make matters more bizarre, the pizza was promptly served after 10 minutes... All in all the pizza was tasty, but noting to shout about too much. Definitely enjoyable but given the experience I would not go here again.

Amazing vegan restaurant and best vegan pizzas ever! Friendly staff and super cool ambience. I love this place!
