After 5 years Mamasan Restaurant has grown beyond Bondi & has now opened in an incredible building in Surry Hills. The food is Japan meets Taiwan.

Story

Mamasan Gemma Lin was born in a small remote fishing village in Yehliu Taiwan & grew up in Japan.
The food reflects the vibrancy of a Taiwanese Night Street Market meets Japan on the set of Bladerunner in a 1920's Shanghai kinda way.

Cannot recommend this place enough. Lovely food but even better drinks. The staff were friendly and attentive which definitely made for a lovely evening.
the service was fantastic, very hospitable, food was great the fish popcorn was delicious. they had to kick us out on closing time... shows we had fun. Decor is nice too. very different. keep it up guys :
A truly eclectic venue with a cellar and rooftop bar. A good selection of bites and drinks with a great service. An experience worth having.

Food was delish, place was funky af, but the highlight of the nite was the amazing service provided to me n my partner by our bartender! He was off tap all pun intended!!!

Enjoyed their edamame. Big portions and nice seasoning. I really liked the atmosphere and design as well. Nice outside seating. Friendly staff. They also have movie nights but I haven't been myself. I would come back.
