Dropped off our washing machine for a quote to have fixed. It took them weeks to get back to us. Everytime I phoned it was a different person who had no idea. They threw out our washing machine and refused to offer any reason or any compensation. Fair trading even tried to get them to pay some compensation but, they took no responsibility. We are now out of pocket hundreds of dollars to replace the machine. I dont understand how negligent businesses like this are still operating.

Not happy with the items they sell. Avoid. Got a washing machine and fridge. After 10 days washing machine broke. Man came out. "Fixed" it. Next day same issue. This time leaked. Took away and replaced with another. Less than a week later freezer defrosted. Ice cream melted in freezer. Guy comes out again says can't find anything wrong with it despite seeing the melted ice cream himself! Advises us to leave a water bottle in there overnight which of course was still not frozen in the morning. We lost 150 dollars worth of food. (35 degrees outside) Then get them to bring another fridge which they did. To our disbelief the fridge didn't get at all cold! Freezer ok this time. Left overnight still as warm as outside. Further food ruined. Ring up...advised that "our fridge we sent back was working fine in their shop" and no way this one wasn't working too and blamed us opening the door too much ! (We had been asleep overnight) eventually convince him to return, with a thermometer which showed a fridge temp of above 30 degrees. Refund was then issued and I am buying a new fridge! Yes Warrenties were upheld but these guys are knowingly selling broken goods to people. I'm not even sure they know how to repair things! The lady was friendly but otherwise we were spoken to rudely and accused of lying. Don't buy otherwise you will end up paying out twice! the one star is for the warrenty being upheld. Otherwise deserve nothing. 3 out of 4 items broken within 2 weeks says it all.

Its not worth it to buy from them. You get what you paid for.. broken fridge and defo not worth money to fixed it. Called them about the fridge i bought it from them but nobody is called me back. If you think you want to buy a 510L fridge for $300 or something from makaus, you need to save your spare moneu because within in 6 or 7 months the fridge will not work anymore!!!!! Thank you makaus to wasted my time and money

Good price and delivery guy was excellent, was on time and when I offered to help he declined and got a 500L fridge in our house without any assistance.

Don't bother "Warranty" is a joke. Bought a fridge from here and it wouldn't work - they dodged my calls for ages while it was still in warranty and then replaced something irrelevant and the fridge still doesn't work.
