Good environment with a taste dish. What I order is Ragu Pasta. A bit savoury so you can ask for less salt to it in. Also for credit card payment they have surcharge and just be careful.

Great dinner venue - we ordered calamari, spicy potatoes, garlic bread and beef main dish. The beef was very tasty! We had more than enough food for 2 people! The venue was clean and tidy, but could have had some music. The gentleman was very accommodating. Surely a place we'll go back.

Sitting in the outside area, we order a $56 paella and 3 tapas dishes worth $38.. Spanish place right? Can't go wrong! Surely? The tapas were bearable, the paella was disgusting - the chicken was disgracefully overcooked and the squid was like chewing a rubber tire, and the whole thing appeared to have been cooked for 45 mins in what tasted like brine. We didn't mind paying, but we thought it proper to let the waiter know. Luckily the owner happened to be eating his steak and chips at the table near the till. He had overheard the criticism but looked away when the waiter approached and then the most shocking part of the evening started. He abused us for apparently being 'difficult all night' - remind me never to tell the restaurant staff that there were food allergies on the table or ask for a toothpick. He told us he doesn't want customers 'like you' in the restaurant, pointing his finger right in our faces. He then picked up the majority portion of this paella and told us he could tell by looking at it that it was perfectly cooked and not to insult his food. The poor waitress, she was loudly blamed for apparently telling the owner we were too difficult for her to handle, so we asked her - she was so apologetic, 'sorry, I didn't say anything' that she was close to tearing up. Nice girl, good balance to the overall personalities. Anyway we ended up being charged for and paying the whole bill. We'd go back. Maybe for the bottle of wine we got from Yarra Valley, at least that was nice!

We had a Groupon voucher for dinner for 4 people and did not find this restaurant good value at all. The owner spilt our bottle of wine on the ground and said he would replace it but all he did was fill the bottle with water. Really, this is just the worst behavior I've experienced from a restaurant. The food was average, the paella was nothing short of awful and not good value for money. I won't be going back.

Disappointed with the owner's attitude towards customers. Came in a group of 6 to have dinner and a bday cake that we brought with us. At the end of the dinner we were told that we have to pay money for eating our own cake. the waitress who served us is a nice Spanish girl and tried to talk to the owner to let us eat our cake. Paying money is not a problem but what made me sick is the attitude of the owner who I overheard was talking in rude manner about us. Never will be back. If you read my review mate I would like to tell you why I am not surprised that apart of us there were a couple of customers only despite of the excellent location. You are killing your business yourself lol.

Owner was friendly & gave attentive service. Food was nice. Best garlic bread I've ever had, who knew such a simple dish can be done so well! Great place to chat without loud music blaring.

I've never had bad experience in my life. Extremely rude owner, it was just unbelievable!!! I will never go back,,, I really don't recommend going there! Also do not order code fish. $29 Couldn't eat, tooooooo salty.

If you like cold fries, salad from a doner shop, rude staff and over charged for your meal then eat at Bartino's. Everything is just wrong - food, ambiance, staff, quality and quantity of food. No smile from Mr. Personality the owner I guess and HE is a total MUG! NEVER GOING BACK THERE!!!

It is really a disappointing dinner. Very low quality food. The codfish is EXTREMELY SALTY. It tastes like you eat a spoon of salt directly. And staff said it is just what it should be. As far as I know people only use so much salt on meat to stock it for a long time. Please do NOT come here.

Disgraceful. Just went there with colleagues, we all left massively disappointed. Chicken avocado salad was a plate stacked with iceburg lettuce leaves, a drizzle of dressing and 3 bits of chicken and haloumi. Pathetic. Friend ordered chicken baguette, instead got a low quality tip top style burger bun with sesame seeds, massively undercooked fries. To top it all off when we went to pay we got nothing but attitude from the owner. Stay away from this dismal excuse for a restaurant.
