We specialise in Pilates for fitness, post rehab, flexibility, back health and pre and post natal. We do Studio sessions, Matwork classes, Reformer Classes, Gravity Strength sessions and Vertex Whole Body Vibration training.
We utilise the 'Gravity Training System' (Total Gym), TRX straps and Spin Bikes in a 4 week rolling program that combines the best of body weight exercise, from beginners to advanced, in small personalised sessions of up to 4 people only. Using your body weight as resistance we work at increasing your functional strength, core strength, coordination and cardiovascular fitness. No matter what your level we can improve on where you're at!
Our instructors have a combined 40 plus years of experience in both Pilates and the general fitness industry. Our head trainer Mark has been working in the Fitness and Pilates world for 20 plus years. We have the experience, the tools and an encouraging environment to bring out your best!
Pilates has six basic principles:
Centering, Concentration, Control, Precision, Breathing, Flow or movement integration. Pilates exercises works to connects all body parts and engage flow through the body in an even way.
Pilates studio equipment, such as the Reformer, are very good mirrors of your body's flow and your concentration as they tend to move around and suddenly become quite "machine-like" if you lose control and flow.
The Pilates equipment can assist you into movements and positions that would be near impossible to achieve on the floor. They can also challenge you in ways that are almost impossible in any other exercise environment. The end result is a body that is leaner, stronger and better able to meet life's challenges. You'll find a Pilates workout will have a flow on effect into every other activity you do and they'll get better as a result!
