I have never shopped at Lowes before up until two months ago, when I bought a "genuine leather" belt. The product was cheap for a leather belt and cost around $30.00, which is to be expected for a product made in China. Needless to say I wasn't expecting the belt to last a life time as good quality belts should and more often than not, do. When the "leather" in the belt cracked and split after two months I of course was surprised and unimpressed. What was even less impressive than the product itself is the staff member who served me when I took the belt and receipt back to the store. I was simply told I was "not using the belt in the right manner and pulling it closed too tightly". I don't think I'm wrong in assuming that that is exactly what a belt is supposed to do. I asked if she would do anything about it, either by replacing the faulty product or giving a refund. I was told "I should have brought it back as soon a crack started to appear in the leather" and that a replacement or refund was off the cards. I find this a indirect confirmation that the product is faulty, however nothing nothing would be done about it. My first experience with Lowes is thus a terrible one. Terrible quality products and even worse service. I would not recommend shopping at Lowes - Oakleigh or any other Lowes for that matter.
