Built in 1887, and originally called the Globe Family Hotel, Lloyds had been an icon of Launceston for many years. With 17 Rooms from budget accom to Backpackers, for a clean place to rest your head, great value for money and on the edge of the CBD, Lloyds is perfect.

Friendly staff and updated bathroom is the pros. 
Cons..The place stunk like spew covered by air freshener. There’s a pub across the road that plays tunes well into the night and doors slamming within the hostel. Very outdated bedding and furniture, dirty old carpet and creaky bedding. Can see the street through spray paint scratched off the bathroom window, which must’ve been great for anyone wanting to watch me use the toilet. No toilet paper or soap either. 
Sorry but really needs an update for $60 a night. If it was $30 I would’ve let most of this stuff slide.

The staff was like really friendly and showed us everything. And we were able to Check out again and get our Money back. 
So sorry for the owner because he is a really nice guy :/
But the room was dirty, there was a nail on the Pillow and Hairs I wasn‘t even shure if the sheets where fresh because of the stains.
The Rest of the Hotel is more like in process Things are standig arround like everywhere and the floor wasn‘t vacuumed for loong. 
Its messy and I think we were the only guests.

Really good value for money. Rooms adequate and fairly clean. Soft bed and fantastic shower..

Cheap and dirty. Hot water is a bit iffy

It houses people of ill repute with drug and alcohol dependency and its security guard lives on site and smokes marijuana in his room close to other guests rooms and you can smell it.
