Little Beer Quarter

If you like bars with a focus on great beer you won't be disappointed. No TVs, lots of taps and space to spill into the alley all make it worth a visit. It's kinda small, and it's off the main street - backing onto a car park. This is either a negative (the car park is a bit unsightly) but in my mind keeps it quieter. It's easier to feel you're off the beaten path.

I strongly advise that you don't visit this amazing icon of the Wellington pub scene, with it's strong representation of delicious craft beers. Please don't go, I think you will hate it as it will become overcrowded and ruin it's unique ambience for us who have accepted it just how we line it. Also the staff are fantastic and I don't want you stressing them out and loose the time to hang out with us like that of old England born again in NZ.

One of my favorite hang outs in Wellington. They always have amazing, not widely known beers on tap, and an excellent selection of bottles as well. The food is quite tasty, especially their veggie burgers, which are giant. The atmosphere is quaint and cozy. Highly recommended.

Top notch beer selection, and food that is just complex enough to be interesting, while still being simply delicious. Highly recommend their deal nights. Funky vibes in and outside.
