The XD cinema I watched a film in yesterday hadn't been properly cleaned for goodness knows how long, there was a coat hanger under the seat in front of us and so much popcorn. Pretty gross.

A little run down these days, especially when compared with the other cinemas in Canberra. Prices are good and the selection of movies are the most popular ones. Some of best freatures are the easy parking compared to the city and there are hardly any crowds. Also has good access to the food court and restaurants.

Been about 4 years since my last movie at Limelight Tuggeranong. They have improved on the sound quality, screen and seats, however their organisation and booking system is still severely flawed. Stopped coming here as the last time I was here my pre-booked seats were sold to 4 separate groups of people, so we all couldn't fit in the cinema. At the time limelight offered free tickets, but there's no point, I so rarely get the chance to make the time to go out and do these things. Now 4 years later I finally give Limelight a second chance, and the same thing happens again! A group of people in the seats I prebooked, but they also sold tickets to customers in queue for the same seats, so then there was a bunch of us all with identical tickets. We had to split up and find random available seats around the cinema (in the dark too as the lights dimmed by this point), by the time we were settled and ready to watch, the movie (star wars) was already 5-10 minutes in, and they were in the middle of some fight scene we had no idea at all what was going on. No point telling the 12 year old's working at the front counter about the issue, what are they possibly going to do about it? Not their problem nor do they deserve to handle these complaints. $70 poorly spent for me and my group, won't be giving limelight another chance that's for sure.

Great cinema best in Canberra but would rate 5 stars if it had a bit of an upgrade and some reclining seats like hoyts does but the new rule sucks where you can’t bring hot food in the cinema😭

Love Limelight. One of the few independent cinemas left in Canberra. Affordable value for money and easily assessable. Good seating (not reclining) and well kept, the staff are friendly and helpful. My partner and I come here frequently. We use IMDb to browse cinema times around Canberra, however Limelight doesn't publish it's session times on the app so depending where we are at the time, we sometimes just go elsewhere.
