This is where you get to see movie and documentaries that don’t get screened in commercial cinemas, in addition to all the movies available from the cinemas.  And people sitting next to you are more likely to be serious moviegoers, not those noisy and distracted people needing to kill an evening.

The largest film society in Australia. Shows close to 200 movies over the course of a year, including well chosen classics to the latest blockbuster releases in mere weeks of theatrical release, for dirt cheap membership. Excellent video and audio quality. Seats are akin to those of a typical lecture theatre, and are about the only thing that could use improvement.
