I was quite disappointed with the cleanliness during my recent visit. The seats and cup holders were noticeably dirty, which really took away from the movie experience. Even worse were the toilets — they were in poor condition and clearly not being maintained properly. For a place that hosts so many people daily, cleanliness should be a top priority. I hope management takes this seriously and improves the hygiene standards soon.
Sub par cinema experience. First of all, the screen is so small and there is absolutely no surround sound. I could have watched the movie at home! They don't check your tickets before you enter and our seats were occupied by individuals who insisted the seats were theirs. We had to go out, find an usher who didn't know to check tickets. We were all called outside to meet the manager who finally discovered that the other couple were at the wrong cinema. What a lot of stress to go through and time wasted when all we wanted was to have a relaxing movie experience. Then, during the movie we were disturbed several times by waiters who did not know who had ordered meals! They were going around asking if we had ordered! Get your act together!nnThe only positive was that the seats were comfortable.
I've been to a lot of cinemas, and most of the time, the issue is getting the perfect seat for where you sit. Since the worry is always that you might end up with a seat that you can't see the movie from. This cinema was pretty nice, and I got the sense that no matter where you sit, you'll be able to see the movie because of the orientation of the recliners. The popcorn wasn't that good however, kinda dry, and there wasn't even a salt and butter station. But I'm not from Australia, and maybe that's normal here. It's a nice movie theater.
Went to see how to train your dragon this evening and the movie was great. However cinema was absolutely freezing, but when I walked out the venue it was warm. If you are going to host a movie from 9pm-11:30pm in the middle of winter at 3 degree weather, you should not be leaving your patrons shivering and freezing cold, multiple people were also shivering. Please turn your heaters on. Is this even legal?
Went to go watch the new superman movie and yet another bad experience here in belconnen hoytes, screen blacked out half way through and everyone in there were confused, no workers came to notify us whats happened insteadi went out to tell them the issue.. they had already known about it and and said they were working on it. I expected they'd give a refund or discount as a kind fix up. But nothing just walked away like nothing happenednnBiggest waste of $25 for not a full movie
