Beautiful location a short stroll from Echo Point. Set in lovely gardens with a stunning out door pool. All very peaceful. But it is expensive and whilst it has an air of grandeur and historic links it doesn't quite achieve a five star rating. The main building is in need of a refurbishment, certain aspects, furnishings in particular, might be considered shabby chic but frankly are more shabby than chic. That said if you are not too fussed about the price it is a superb place to stay.

A step back in time with original, timeless decor and friendly, courteous staff. Only 1.5 hr drive from Sydney CBD a quick little getaway when needed. A stones throw away from the Three Sisters, Scenic World and beautiful bush walking tracks. An award winning hatted restaurant to greet you for dinner. Beds that I have had the best sleep of my life in…and the manicured gardens beautiful at anytime of the year. I don’t hesitate in recommending my family and friends to Lilianfels Blue Mountains Resort.

Really disappointed. Place look really old and is really old.... for this price I'll never go again I was waiting for something special. Control for tv was broken the bath had some yellow things inside (I don't know what was it) and also I can't say was pretty clean... Also for smoker... you have to go outside of all area from the hotel, you can't smoke in. When is raining you don't have any chance. I can understand for some kind of people cigarette really smell but I never see before in other hotel to smoke in front of hotel, not anywhere ... Just one things was positive about this place was the restaurant inside the area, the dinner was delicious and about staff, they was really kind and professional. Thank you them for really nice evening!!!!

The best part of staying at Echoes was the view. The rooms are OK: they reminded me of a Holiday Inn Express. The food was pretty good, but the bar closes early - like 8:30pm. I thought the hotel across the street (Lilianfels) looked much nicer and the food at its restaurant was better.

Great location. However it's a bit dated. We had problems with the toilet and the lift was not working for a night. The staff there was excellent. All very friendly and helpful. First class service.
