Authentic Thai food! One of the best in Blue mountains. Had the soft shell crab for starter with coconut and duck w/ eggplant curry as mains. Must recommend this.

Basil Nut is in my opinion the best and most popular Asian restaurant in the blue mountains. The food here was outstanding as always, delicious fried rice, soup, stir fries. We did get our foods at different times, but it doesn't matter too much. Overall, brilliant restaurant definetely recommend

It was our first time dining at Basil Nut Cafe & Restaurant. We absolutely loved it. The restaurant has such a cosy and welcoming atmosphere—it genuinely felt like enjoying a home-cooked meal in someone’s beautifully set-up living room. The food was fantastic, with every dish full of flavour and care. The standout for us was definitely the eggplant duck curry—rich, comforting, and perfectly cooked. The staff were also friendly and attentive. We’ll definitely be back for another visit soon!

Fantastic spot for authentic Thai cuisine! The food is absolutely delicious—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The service is top-notch, with friendly and attentive staff who make the dining experience even better. The location is also perfect, adding to the overall charm of the place.nnThe only downside is that it’s a bit on the pricey side, but considering the portion sizes and quality, it’s understandable. Definitely worth a visit if you’re craving great Thai food!

BasilNut is a nice little place snugged in a alley along Katoomba St. It's basically a Thai restaurant run by young staff, and the ambience was great.  Cosy place.  It has outdoor sitting n indoor too.nnWe were there for lunch and ordered the Tomyam fried rice chicken plus veg spring rolls. To be honest, I've never tasted such terrible fried rice whether in or outside of Thailand.  The rice wasn't even fried properly, I reckoned it  must have been done very quickly.  Big disappointment!nnBut the service was good.  Staff were friendly and pleased to engage with patrons.nnOn the whole, i still like the place and would probably order somethg else in future.  But I doubt I will eat here again if there were other choices available in Blue Mt.
