Nice to go to the original. Not as good value as it was 25 yrs ago when Rocky was running it. Simple,easy predictable food.Nothing fancy. Was in a hurry on the way to work,easy parking,love the street nice vibe. Took only 10 minutes to make pizza. Ate half in the resteraunt and enjoyed the other half for dinner the next night.
The best La Porchetta there is out there! The rest of the branches that I've tried bar the one in North Melb have been extremely disappointing. Will always return to the Carlton branch where the pizzas and pastas are the best!
Great service, lovely food for our Christmas gathering. A bit noisy... normal for this type of eatery. Happy to recommend.

Definitely the best La Porchetta around. Decor is dated, like an old school Italian restaurant from the glory days of Lygon st. Relaxed and fun, with the staff making sure that our needs where met. No split bills but that's ok as there's an ATM literally right outside.
This place brings back memories and the staff are very helpful, the European waiter was smoking hot

I was very disappointed in the takeaway garlic prawns I bought. They were very rubbery and chewy and the rice was not properly cooked.
