Come and enjoy a relaxing 45 minute Wet Tropics rainforest cruise on the glorious Barron River in Kuranda or a guided rainforest walk with refreshments.

Story

From 24 September 2015 the Kuranda Riverboat is under new ownership, having been bought by Warren & Melissa Clinton, residents of Speewah since 2002.

Brian Clarke founded the business and commenced operating the Kuranda Riverboat Tours on the Barron River in Kuranda in 1982. It is an iconic attraction in the village and loved for its tranquil and relaxing tours.

The Kuranda Riverboat operates 7 days a week, subject to seasonal river conditions.

The boat carries a maximum of 30 passengers and 1 crew.

Current cruise times are as follows:

Departs 10.45 am - Returns 11.30 am
Departs 11.45 am - Returns 12.30 pm
Departs 12.30 pm - Returns 1.15 pm
Departs 1.30 pm - Returns 2.15 pm
Departs 2.30 pm - Returns 3.15 pm

We also conduct Paradise Kuranda Guided Rainforest Walks in an area of tropical rainforest on the other side of the Barron River followed by light refreshments, and accessible only via the Kuranda Riverboat. We welcome group bookings also and can arrange tours on the river from early morning to late afternoon. A minimum of 2 adults is required for this tour to take place. Tours depart from our jetty below the Kuranda Railway Station. Walk across the Kuranda Railway Station footbridge and go down the stairs the river. You will see our red flags flying.
