I picked up the new Korean mugwort injeolmi Tteok from KT Mart on Elizabeth Street and it absolutely blew me away. The texture is incredibly soft, almost cloud like, yet with that perfect chewy bite you expect from fresh tteok. The earthy, aromatic mugwort flavor pairs beautifully with the nutty roasted soybean powder coating, making each piece rich but never heavy. I also love that it comes in individual packs, perfect for snacking anytime. Honestly, I nearly polished off the whole bag in one sitting!! That’s how addictive it is. A must try for anyone who loves authentic Korean rice cakes or wants to discover a new favourite.
Walked up to KT Mart and first thing I see … the shopfront still boarded up like some kind of “urban aesthetic” art piece. It’s been weeks since a car drove through and the hoarding is basically permanent décor now.nnInside? Not bad tbh — shelves are stacked, variety’s solid . But the *real boss fight* is at the checkout. Price tags that don’t match, “discounts” that feel like gaslighting, and deals that disappear faster than your willpower on a diet . Half-decent store, but every transaction feels like a trust fall where no one catches you.nnSo yeah — KT Mart is basically the friend who’s fun to hang out with, but you just know they’ll cancel on you last minute .
I’m quite impressed with the selection of food here from fresh produce to dry goods. Most of the products they stocked are Korean but also had other Asian products. What I love the most is the variety of their kimchis, there were soooo many to choose from. Also, thin-slice quality meats from frozen to fresh are well stocked with full options. There are some parking out front if you are lucky or some out the back.
usually love shopping at kt mart, but noticing more and more spoiled and mouldy food being stocked. bought rice cakes that were meant to expire in november but are very mouldy and foul smelling. please be careful before shopping herennupdate: messaging their instagram i was able to get an easy refund, i didnt need a reciept but might be because i am a member
Superb store with comprehensive array of fresh, frozen and long life condiments. Also plenty of Korean beauty, kitchen and home products. The GRAND OPENING sticker at the front has been up there for a few months already.nnI personally notice if you are after Chinese products, it's better to go other Asian grocers nnPersonally annoyed they increased the prices of eggs. No longer the best place to get eggs.
