Hainanese chicken was over cooked and the rice was lack of chicken stock flavor. I more prefer the Yummy Kitchen one. The fish head laksa noodle wasn't great as well. Fish head was under cooked, not crispy at all and the rice noodle was not mixed with the laksa well. I will go Blossom Court for the fish head noodle. Overall, it's not value for money and will never come back again.
Good food. We ordered quite a few dishes for pickup/takeaway for a family gathering and everything was cooked on time. The food was good and they had decet portions. The standouts were their nasi lemak rice - very flavourful, they nailed it and KK Special fried chicken and pork ribs - delicious, would make for good drinking food. The only dish that didn't quite live up to the others was the beef rendang, it still tasted alright but lacked the usual richness and they don't use beef cubes so was a little wierd for me. Personally, I'd take it off the menu and keep working in it in the background. The spice levels were surprisingly low but it'll be to cater for local palettes. You can buy chopped chillies and their sambal which was very good.
Came here today. The fish soup vermicelli was nice and creamy, not too fatty as well. Quite a nice warm soothing meal. Nasi lemak, which is my favourite Malaysian dish, it is a famous dish here as well. The presentation was nice as always with the bluish coconut rice. But today I feel the rice is not as good. The rice was cold and not enough coconut flavour. The rendang was very good, and everything else was not bad. They are missing the crunchy anchovies which is a key piece of ingredient of this dish. Overall is still very yummy. Wish they gave us complementary hot chinese tea though.
Very disappointed with the order! First of all placed an order on phone, was expected regular order, but all was given large! The large Fried Kuey Teow, was taste horrible, lost the char taste, whole big pot only one prawn. I'm a lousy cook but i can cooked similar to what I've just bought!
The customer service is quite good good and the staffs are welcoming. Fair prices and nice foodFood: 4/5
This is SUPER. I ordered this from Hungry Panda asking for Large portion. Expected the tiny little bitty I usually got from other restaurants, they arrived with this JUMBO. Great job KK!
We had takeaways from here tonight. The food was okay particularly the butter chicken. But it is not good value for money. The dishes we got were $30 each. We were expecting either a big feast or top of the line cuisine. We got neither. It is average at best food. Didn't get any rice we expected it for a $30 dish, the beef was chewy and no better than badly cooked stewing steak. After reading other reviews I can tell that the blame will probably be put on me by this restaurant. I wish I read the reviews first. I hope they pick up their game, stop ripping off their customers and charge prices to suit the quality and amount of the food.
Fantastic food. Enjoyed possibly the best Prosperity salad in Auckland to see in the Chinese New Year. Tonight a large group of foodies enjoyed the hospitality of a friend who oganised a dinner with the owner. The result was a Michelin quality dinner. Stunning.
Still a great Malaysian restaurant in my opinion. The food is authentic albeit usually lacking a tad bit of spiciness and the portions are usually quite generous. Am a fan of their soup noodle dishes Seafood Laksa comes to mind.
Consistently taste good. We ordered curry laksa fish noodles, Wan tan hor, beef rendang Nasi lemak, fried mee hon.
