I live in Melbourne and purposely drive to Ballerat for Kittley's: BEST SCONES ever. I reserved a table over the phone a week prior and my name was remembered upon entry. EXCELLENT customer service, beautiful range of sweet and savory food. Very eclectic style decor - which I love. Cannot rave enough about this place....I will be returning again in the near future. Oh I forgot to mention food will never disappoint and always consistent.....super fresh and moist cakes FRESH FRESH and FRESH

Stimulating interior, but given staff numbers (counted 4 chatting behind counter) more effort can be spent on clearing and cleaning tables and general orderliness of site. Coffee not great, purportedly strong FW, needed 'additional' shot to cut through milk, but promptly remedied, gratis, by duty manager. Food ok, but not great, 'zapped' tart served with a sparrow's serving of salad, $17, not great value for money. Chicken/almond sandwich, used 'caterers' roast chicken meat, nothing special. Such potential, so frustrating to see.

If u meet delicious food, the whole day will be totally different! Very fresh and delicious food. Every one of us enjoyed this lunch. If possible, I want to try more! As a tourist, you will never regret to eating in Kittelty's. Really marvelous food!
