Overall really good atmosphere and food. We had a private room downstairs booked out for a work function. The food was delicious and steak cooked medium rare as requested. Staff was mostly good through the night although they did forget my drinks a few times.
Tasty steak and accommodating for our 1 year old. Chef cut off a portion of one of the steaks and cooked well done for the babe. Good wine and good sides. Entrance off the main road down a driveway.
Came during lunch, service was subpar but they were friendly. The appetisers and sides weren’t the best but it tasted pretty average. Steak wasn’t the juiciest but it was cooked to how I wanted it so. ‍ I think there are better steak joints though.
wonderful as always. staff are kind and professional, thank you for amending our reservation size last minute despite being fully booked. we started off the night with some wine, sourdough and chorizo, steak each for main with fries, mashed potato, baked potato, and onion rings on the side, and finished with cheese platters and the waffles. steak is always cooked perfectly, great selection of wine, and comfortable atmosphere. food is somewhat expensive here, but i believe you get what you pay for. immaculate service and great tasting food. we have eaten here countless times and cannot wait to visit again.
Food was nice ! We had some bread and Chorizo to start with then steak and lamb for the table. I had the lamb personally, amazingly done from both texture n taste perspective. Wine was delicious!! Highly recommended. Wait staff was great and able to give valuable insights on the dishes for us to make the most difficult decisions.
Hit-or-miss at every step of food & service. The Sydney Rock Oysters were a nice start. The Wagga Wagga Angus Eye Fillet was delicious! We ordered medium-rare and it was more on the rare side, but was tender and flavorful. The Grasslands Pasture-Fed Ribeye was a disappointment though – a little tough and under-seasoned. The pepper sauce was delicious but the béarnaise sauce was blander than any béarnaise from New York or Paris. Our waitress was very nice and knowledgeable, but she was also the ONLY waitstaff working the entire dinner service so everyone got little attention after their initial order. She had seating customers, taking orders, cutting bread, setting silverware, settling checks, and delivering wine. It took us an age to get our check after we finished our main courses we skipped dessert because it took so long!. There are some gems here, but understaffing and inconsistency in quality left room for improvement.
We happened to walk passed and decided steak would be good for dinner. The atmosphere was fantastic and the staff were friendly and catered to our pram/baby. The restaurant manager was fantastic and the food was absolutely delicious. I had the rib eye steak with mash which was a melt in mouth texture. I even tried the apple and rhubarb crumble which was amazing. Will definitely come back on my next Sydney trip.
We walked around the cbd area on a busy Friday evening on our sydney tripand came across Kingsley Steakhouse in a discreet corner alleyway. This place gave us a rustic Australian pub kinda of feel and we loved the ambience. Though it was fairly full, the host accommodated to us and we were seated on the 2nd floor. The wife and I shared a starter of swimmer crab toast, a T Bone steak with side of onion rings since we were fairly full that day. The servers were friendly and smiling and we did enjoy our time there
Extremely disappointed. Poor and rude service. Do not recommend. Made a reservation 1 day in advance ,was asked on the phone any special note and request. I said pls reserve 1 order of beef Wellington. Arrived the next day 10mins early, was pouring outside. No one greeted us while we waited at the front door. Waited around few mins, and were told you are early, can you wait until your reservation time. Which were 10mins away, while there were several empty table around. The manager finally greeted us at 19:30, he checked the computer and couldn't find my name. And strangely he said my reservation was cancelled. I did not get any notification at all. He seems not bothered and said doesn't matter we have a empty table for you. When I order my meal and advised that beef Wellington were sold out. The waiter said beef Wellington is limited each night, serving around 10 orders. I told him this was not mentioned on the phone, website the moment I made the reservation. Also, special request has been placed. Again, the waiter seems not bothered and said there is no such thing as special order. I end up order a pretty average rib eye steak and duck breast. Food was avaerage, price is fair . When I pay my bill, the manager clearly again not bothered with any service and dared to ask if I want to tip the team. He did not smile and thank us at all. Again ,extremely rude. Feel feel to visit if you wish to experience poor table service.
We had our wedding dinner here and it was lovely! We booked the private dining room, which was perfect for our little party of 18. The steak was delicious and our guests raved about the food. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. I would 100% recommend, and we can't wait to come back as guests in their regular dining room.
