Great range and variety for a local shop
Always have good amount of stock and staff are really pleasant. Much prefer this store to the alternatives in the area. Car park is a bit small, but there is parking on the nearby high street that also has some great shops.
Pretty reasonable for its size, good fresh fish supply. Wish we had that in Waihi.

Parking's a nightmare, and the staff look like they've all had the life sucked out of them. The selection is meager which is hardly surprising considering the tiny size of this place. You feel like a canned sardine, especially when it has more than 20 customers. To be honest, they should ditch the stupid little car park from hell and extend the actual shop out... or tear it down, whichever. It a 5 minute drive to a much bigger and cheaper Countdown in Crofton Downs, but if you're on foot and can't be bother hoofing it, then it'll pass for an oversized dairy thats a 7-Eleven for you Americans.
Well aside from not having the two items I went in for - cream & Janola.not bad. Nice to see they cater for those of us who are single/pensioners- got a lovely little pork roast which I was not looking for, for $13 which will do me for two possibly three meals! Staff seem very pleasant & chatty. Found the cream in the local dairy - had tried three super markets!!!
Late night quick run in and grab items, the only 2 working the check out were super friendly and helpful.
Staff is very mean and rude.i literally heard the 2 staff making fun about me and they were not even upset when I looked at them.i felt really discriminated and I prefer any other store but not here again.instead of helping me with my question they made fun and she looked she is superviser or manager I don't really know. Other than that store is nice and clean but not much variety.
Lovely clean supermarket, friendly and helpful service at the checkout. The supervisor kindly let me leave my bag of groceries there, so I could come back in half an hour after a look around the local market/fair day... cheers
Visited New World in July 2021 and I was pleased with how the shop was presented. There was a range of products to choose from. Including meats, produce, snacks, diary and other products to choose from. New World deliver and provide a quality service for their customers.
