Beautiful spot to take the kids or go without. Good playground. Lovely ocean view (position yourself appropriately and you won't see the port, if that offends you). Great for fish and chips, an ice cream, or a play after swimming. Great place for a break if you are cruising the foreshore as well.

Possibly best playground and picnic area in New Plymouth. Right on the sea it has beautifully location. Also good playground facilities for kids.

This is a great kids play park. But also a real treat for the adults its a frozen in time snap shot of a seventies play park, loveingly maintained by the local Rotary Club. The giant painted concrete story book features are remarkable. often voted best playground in NZ. A very quirky but fun filled place by the river.
