I ordered the Gado Gado and Roti which are both incredibly delicious dishes. So much flavour in every bite. It’s really great to have so many delicious vegetarian options.
Reservations required for dine in. Small but gets busy on certain day. We had take away . Most of food were good. My husband didn't enjoy black bean beef couldn't find meat - looks like meanced meat and salty for his taste bud. We will try again for dine in.
We were surprised at how many other people were eating at Kampung on the day we had lunch recently.nWe dined at the Slayter St address. The restaurant was bright, clean with good space between tables.nOur waitstaff were friendly, helpful and energetic., with nice smiles on their dials.nWe both had garlic prawns as an entree. My partner had a noodle stir fry and I a vegetable stir fry with garlic and oyster sauce as mains. The food was beautifully cooked, was fresh and hot temperature wise. There appeared to be no added salt. However , or excessive salt which meant we had no thirsty after taste which is excellent. However, I could not taste any garlic or oyster sauce so the food was a tad bland.nMaybe that is the key to their obvious success...nothing would annoy or offend anyone. The prices are more than fair, the service was good, there are plenty of options for couples or large groups, there is a good range of food options to choose from including a good selection of vegetarian meals.nParking was a breeze.nThere was no back ground music which I like. However with the hard surface of the walls with nothing to absorb the sound, the noise of people talking was quite loud. No issue but for the hard of hearing.
First time order take away food. There is no any Malaysian taste. I got two fried fish snapperit is looks like boiled fish with sweet chilli sauce.and some tomato’s and pineapple,nBut bit tasty naasi goreng.nOverall not happy with the meals.
Food was very very nice and service was good, prices were reasonable . Not much atmosphere, maybe needs more decorations or pictures on the wall but otherwise l good dining experience thank you
