Just good food for a reasonable price. $20 Rump steak special was good. I ordered a med rare steak, and while it came out more as med well, it was still tender and well seasoned. Beers also well priced.

Great spot! The food was absolutely delicious, and the vibe was just right for a relaxing afternoon. It’s actually a great place to play a few games of backgammon with mates too — plenty of space and a laid-back atmosphere. Staff were super friendly and welcoming. Definitely worth a visit‍
We stopped in for a quick lunch and discovered a $10 seniors lunch deal. Several options but we chose chicken snitzel, chips and salad which was promptly served and enjoyable. Great value and service. The staff were very friendly and attentive particularly Emily who looked after us and encouraged us to return for coffee and cake on the beautiful deck.
Parking and finding the Tavern was easy for a couple of Victorian tourists. We just Googled pubs near us and looked for the best ratings, and this place lived up to its rating. Large dining area that was well presented. There was also a children's play area, pokies and TAB, but we didn't spend any time in these. The food was excellent and reasonably priced and the staff were super friendly. Will definitely eat here again next time we are on the Gold Coast.
