Location perfect for Kaikoira, 5 min walk to Dolphin Encounter, 20 to Whale Watch (5 min drive). On beach front, but no rooms looking over the sea which is a shame, but there is a bar where you can watch the sea. Breakfast was decent enough, cereal, bagels, salmon, ham, toast, hot drinks. The host Warren is very helpful and will ring the activities you have booked to ensure I weather is good to go ahead. In our case it wasn't but Warren made some good suggestions alternatives that may well save a big highlight for our holiday. Rooms are a little small, but adequate, beds are incredibly comfortable. We had a couple of power cuts following a major storm, but power seemed to kick back in fairly soon. Overall very satisfied and would recommend.

Great place. Beautifully restored. Interior design impeccable. All rooms and facilities are of a high standard. Fabulous outdoor spaces as well. Great hosts and staff. A real pleasure to visit.

Not an actual hotel. It is a motel. They have breakfast included. Keep shades down to keep rooms cool. 2 minute drive from seals and close to the dolphin encounter. Staff was friendly as all staff seem to be in New Zealand.

Such a cute and cozy place! The service is probably the best I’ve ever had at any lodging I have ever stayed at. The breakfast is great, coffee=amazing and the staff has the best recommendations for what to do in town (we had the best time swimming with dolphins)! I would say the only downside is the bathrooms are super tiny but the service alone more than makes up for that. I loved my stay in this town and would definitely want to come back here. Thank you guys for an awesome Kiwi experience !!!!! Definitely recommend!!! And it is RIGHT on the beach with a small town feel so we enjoyed some glasss of wine on the beach and had the whole beach to ourselves! It was amazing!
