Very disappointed. Looks good in the pictures. But no photos of the back. Our mates had a converted garage where the window opened into the owners laundary. We had the top room. Up dodgy stairs Good view but that's about it. To be told to do your own dishes is wrong also. Must be a health issue ??? Wouldn't recommend

It looks great. The prices are good too. The sky channels dont work all that much but the see view is great. It has a special glass walled porch which keeps out the cold wind but lets you enjoy the view of the ocean. Its great for 1 or two night stays.

A little dated but spacious and comfortable. Central to seal colony and township.

Basic old-school motel on the beautiful Kaikoura sea side road. The staff were very accommodating and the rooms clean. Do yourself a favor and splurge for the upstairs suite (the view is worth it). The town is recovering from the recent earthquake and the seabed has uplifted, this the famous seals are less common in the shore line. Dear not they are still around and only a short drive from this hotel. Also some surfing spots have developed since the earthquake which are walking distance from the hotel as well.
