Well my bed was completely worn out so I could fell the frame while sleeping and the wifi is not for free and even when you pay it's quite slow. 
Everything else but the price is fine.
The rooms are clean and big enough. The kitchen has plenty of space and utensils are in good shape.

Such a lovely place to stay! The staff went out of their way to help you and I loved how environmentally friendly the hostel is. The location is in a really relaxed part of town close to the peninsula walk and beach. I'd definitely recommend!

Stayed there for two days in a 4 bed dorm. Everything was really clean and they even had free hot chocolate! Also the staff was really nice. Would recommend

Great place great owners. Unexppected free pancakes on Sundays. Showers are tiled and super clean/nice. Bunk beds are a bit too squeaky and shaky. Everything is very well thought out, a bit surprised there is no lockable storage in the dorms. Great common area.

The owners just care about the money. They just pretend to be nice because you give them money. I did some wwoofing there and they said threw me out with less than 24h notice. The rooms are very small and all the good thing about the hostel were not started by them. The manager before made this hostel a good one and now they are slowly destroying it. Ben and Kathie are the worst people that I have met in New Zealand. Self centered couple that uses woofers to blame the failed relationship on them.
