Easily accessible alongside the main State Highway 1, which does mean that there is quite a bit of road noise that can be heard in the rooms, however, it does go quieter at night. It is also an easy 10/15 walk into town, although it is all uphill on the way back.nCheck in and Check out were functional rather than done with any great show of cheerfulness.nEverything, though was well maintained and clean. The room was a good size with a decent area for food preparation, with a sink, microwave, fridge and kettle.nThere is also a handy Guest Laundry coin operated between rooms 1 & 2.
We stayed one night to do the dolphin swimming experience in town. Room was okay... However, a cockroach scuttled across the floor before I ended it. I reported this to reception the next day as we left - but I got the impression that this was not an isolated incident. Shower and bathroom was good. Fridge provided. Bed comfy. Not particularly good value.
It's easy to locate and about 10 mins walk to the main road where you can find food and all kinds of activities. The room is clean and wide. The view is very nice and you get the best staff to welcome you. The price is lower than the most of others around.
I’ve been travelling all over NZ my whole life, it’s what i love to do. This is the first time i’ve come online to review. I am here to say the gentlemen behind the counter at this motel was rather unwelcoming and unfriendly. His attitude ruined my whole experience at this motel. I would support this man in taking a hospitality course.
You know what to expect with a Bella Vista motel, a big bed and a clean uncluttered room. What I really like is the amount of bench space in the studio, kitchen nook and especially, the bathroom. Usually there's nowhere to put your toilet bag, or at best, a tiny shelf. Nice friendly cats here too!
