We were welcomed with fresh milk and a huge smile. Our room is fabulous and how nice to have lovely hand soap and air freshener in the bathroom. Great view of the water from our windows. Top marks to Paul and Lyn.

This is a lovely motel, stunning views and spacious, well equipped rooms. Super comfy bed. Owners Lyn and Paul were so welcoming, booked us in at a restaurant, sorted the whale watching, nothing too much trouble. Would give 10 stars if I could!

We had a lovely time at the Anchor when we stayed in winter '16.  The room was beautiful, the views absolutely gorgeous, and the owners so helpful.  We know they had some earthquake damage in '16, but know also that they and the Anchor will come through it.  We wish them all the very, very best.

Absolutely great friendly service and great price from the new owners.  Spacious, spotless room with an amazing view of the ocean (& sunrise in morning).  They went out of their way to make sure our truck was in a secure park, turned on the heater & electric blankets & showed us where everything was. Room had kitchenette, including hot plate if you did want to cook anything & REAL milk. Good shower. They even went & got us our dinner & a beer so we didn't have to move/take the truck out again.  Only downside, is that we only stayed one night.

Also, they thankfully rung us to advise I'd left something behind.  

Definitely rate this place.
