John Flynn Private Hospital is a 345 bed, acute care hospital located at Tugun, which is on the southern end of the Gold Coast, within 5 minutes from the Gold Coast Airport. The hospital provides services to the population of the Gold Coast and the Tweed Coast extending into the NSW Northern Rivers area.

John Flynn provides a wide range of health care services with a 24 hour emergency department, comprehensive cardiac services, general and orthopaedic surgery, cancer services, medical, maternity and paediatrics, renal dialysis, day surgery and rehabilitation services.

John Flynn have a Tier One Contract with the Department of Veteran Affairs and also provide services to the Gold Coast and Tweed Veteran community.

The campus consists of the main hospital building, specialist medical suites, the John Flynn Cancer Centre, and also includes additional services such as radiotherapy (radiation oncology), radiology (x-ray), pathology and a 24 hour onsite pharmacy.

I was admitted to John Flynn for a major operation. I found every single staff member and Doctor Hugh Won in Ward 3B extremely professional, caring, communicative. I have been in a few hospitals both public and private and would have to say this is by far the best.

The hospital operates efficiently; handover between nurses is amazing - no information is left out or misunderstood.

I have nothing but praise for the hospital and their staff. I just wished the hospital was based in Canberra, the city where I live.

I had surgery with Dr Doyle 1 week ago and found my experience at John Flynn Private Hospital to be amazing from start to finish.......very professional and caring.
All theatre staff and post op nurses were great.....especially Rea and Vicky - thanks for looking after me when I was feeling a little precious!
My Anaesthetist Dr Els and his assistant were also great......highly recommend all involved.

My GP referred me to Dr. Jason Tsung for another professional opinion concerning a Total Knee Replacement surgery. I have been refused the consultation because I do not have Private Health Insurance and live in Surfers Paradise (apparently their Doctors are not allowed to see Patients living outside Burleigh Heads). So, if you don't have Health Insurance or live in Surfers, forget it!

I recently had 2 day (eye) surgery operations at John Flynn Private Hospital, and can't fault the service.  This is the first time I have used this hospital.  On both occasions the admission area went smoothly.  Communication is clear, and I like the idea of the little buzzer that lets you know you're ready to go into the pre-op area.  All of the nurses were really friendly, and so were the orderlies.  Post op recovery area was also really well run, with the ladies only too happy to help and make you comfortable.  I would highly recommend this hospital to everyone.

I've just spent 3 days in John Flynn.   Haven't been into Hospital since I had children  (50 years) and was pretty apprehensive about it.   I had the best experience...the staff were caring friendly and  professional . The food was good would have been excellent had I been able to have salt...my problem not the staffs'.   The lady taking food orders was most helpful to suggesting what might have been good without salt to the cleaners keeping my room clean and lovely. The best staff  the best facilities and a great Doctor (Mohamed Khafaji).
