The Burleigh Family Medical Practice was established in 1992, and is fully accredited with the RACGP. The Practice is conveniently located in Park Avenue – right in the heart of Burleigh Heads. We cover all aspects of General Practice – including Men’s Health, Women’s & Children’s Health, Antenatal care, & Aged Care. We are passionate about Preventive Care – employing the services of a Diabetes Educator and Specialised Care Plan Nurse. We have Doctors with special interests in Mental health, Paediatrics, Skin Cancer, Sports medicine, Travel medicine and Corporate Medicine. Bulk-billing is available for aged pensioners, veterans, and children under 16 yrs.

I am a victim of Crime who has been stabbed horrifically 8 times and I have used the services of this wonderful Medical Practise for about 10 years. This Practise has been an amazing journey for me from the morning I first hobbled in for assistance. I had broken a bone in my left foot. The Staff informed me at this time it was a closed practise and could not see me. I explained that I may have broken in my foot. The most excellent Dr. Lee asked me to join him in his surgery. He arranged the X-ray the rest is in their medical files. What an amazing group of professionals. I am in their debt. Dr. Lee has gone above and beyond the call of duty for me and I am truly, personally in his debt. Jeff Batten

Each time I’ve been, the medical notes and dates are wrong. So Ive had to clarify each time, past medical history and this is from seeing various drs not just one.

This place is a freakshow!!! They mess up bookings contantly and ring back and want to reschedule every booking I've made consistantly for the past four times. They give me an appointment then ring me and change the times times claiming they've "made a booking error". Just go somewhere else is my recommendation. Go and find a real doctor who'll care about you. This place just wants your money.

I have had amazing experiences with Dr.Peter Koster. I have lived in Burleigh for over 50 years and Burleigh Heads got with the times when Peter moved here 7 years ago.... He is sharp, professional, does not miss a thing, follows up every single corner and has such a friendly bed side manner. I hope he stays here forever.

Recently i had the unpleasant experience of dealing with Dr Peter Koster, who currently now works at Burleigh Family Medical Practice. Found his whole conduct very unprofessional, costly and unconclusive. So he got 2 appointment times worth of my money ($100) and i got absolutly nothing. My grandma could of given me a clearer diagnosis. Very usatisfied do not use this rude man's service
