JB Hi-Fi Home

I've seen the reviews for the place here, and the top reviews say that there is great customer service. But, I went there yesterday after noon and found nobody who could help me with any queries. All the 'friendly and helpful' staff were on leave or extremely busy doing something else and told me so. I'll have to go to the store on a day when these 'friendly and helpful' staff are available.

Amazing customer service! Shop was very busy. Was approached quickly and guided to product, given excellent direct advice and opinion. Check out was busy, staff recognised and floor staff jumped to assist with checkout. Very impressed.

I've been here 3 times this month looking to buy that day and stood around trying to get help for (no exaggeration) at least 20-30 minutes each time before leaving. The first time I went I was approached by a lady who was nice enough but she wasn't from the TV section and couldn't really help. I've worked in retail before and found it pretty pathetic. Went to Goodguys down the road and they offered me help after about 1 minute of being there. Don't think I'll be back to JB again after this.

This is the best JB in bayside mainly because of the location. Staff are friendly; and it has enough parking spaces during the week but can be hard to find a park during Christmas season and even on weekend peak hours. If so park in streets behind it or at Den Murphy's ;)

With staff that just don’t care and a messy store - you can understand why people buy online. I waited in the headphone section for 20mins and couldn’t find anyone to help me (I pretty much knew what I wanted but they were locked away - owing to the fact they were expensive headphones). So I went to the counter and asked for help and the guy told me to return to the headphones and he would page someone. 20 mins later - no page and no staff to help me just buy a $300 pair of headphones. So I used the time to go online and buy them. I let another staff member at the counter know that I didn’t get any help - she didn’t let me finish before she was angrily paging someone to the counter - and when I said I had purchased online - she cancel the call and said sorry. I kinda felt she was more annoyed that I had taken up her time rather than showing any empathy. So disappointing - you would think that online would sharpen the sales people in store to have better people skills and sales prowess. Definitely puts you off wanting to go into a store!!
