We teach learn to swim, provide squad swimming coaching and lap swimming to all levels of swimmers from beginners and intermediates through to high performance athletes and swimmers just wanting to keep fit in an enjoyable and supportive environment.

Story

We teach babies through to adults how to swim proficiently and survive in deep water. We cater to all levels of swimming ability and fitness with our unique program based on 40 years of experience. Our curriculum is engaging and efficient, stimulating and fun.

We are AUSTSWIM accredited, affiliated with Swim Australia, ASCTA and all major health funds, including Bupa.

Great teachers at the swimming school, clearly understanding and interesting at teaching. Gradually notices process and at first you get noodles, then slowly swim without them. Would recommend to anyone wanting to improve their swimming skills.
My two boys have been attending regularly for several years now .. what keeps us coming back is the quality of the teaching from the swim coaches ... Always multiple swim teachers, lifeguards and assistants in the water with little ones. Very professional setup. Changing rooms are cleaned and maintained very regularly. You can find slightly cheaper swim clubs but the teaching is usually voluntary from well meaning parents who don't always hold the qualifications.
We had an intensive course in the summer of 2020 during Corona. Really great! They're systems were really well thought out and the teacher was excellent. The bad reviews I think were from a while ago / different management. The guy running things now was great and my sons teacher was really good. My sons first swim lesson ever he said he thought it was "really fun" and the teacher progressed him at a good pace.
The best place to learn swimming in Brighton. The teachers and staff are professional and helpful however I found the staff who are working on Saturdays is more companionable. Especially, the girl who is in charge and organising us to get to the changing tents is extremely friendly. We did not like the female supervisor who is working on Sunday as being less helpful and unpleasant.
Lovely and clean, nice warm pool, friendly and staff members are great with the kids!
We've been attending the Swim School with our kids over many years - it's a great place. Today my daughter had her 9th Birthday party there.... for 15 friends. It was totally fantastic. A brilliant instructor led the games in the pool including two children who couldn't swim well..... but you wouldn't have known it, they were helped along to join in with the rest. Then upstairs to a beautifully decorated room banners and streamers and balloons for party food - and a delicious cake specially hand baked by one of the staff. The kids had such a great time - and totally stress free for the parents. As with the swimming lessons, there is such a wonderful atmosphere - the staff enthusiastic, friendly, attend to every detail and concern, really get to know your kids. Can't praise it highly enough!
My little girl, who's nearly 5, had always been a little indifferent with water and would often lose interest when we'd take her swimming so we decided to book her in for a weeks toddler course . The first session didn't go to plan and she initially struggled but I put that down to lack of confidence and getting used to a new surrounding. After the initial blip she didn't look back and due to the very caring and patient instructors, gained more and more confidence. She enjoyed it so much, we booked her in for another weeks course. The instructors were excellent, mixing fun, which relaxed the children, with the serious side of learning to swim. If you're looking to book lessons for your child, I highly recommend Brighton Swimming School.
Our Son has been swimming with Brighton Swimming School for a number of years now and loves it. The lessons are fantastic and there's a great viewing platform where parents get a birds eye view of the pool whilst being able to enjoy a coffee and fresh croissant from the onsite cafe. We've encountered all levels of staff during our time here who've ALL been knowledgeable, friendly and incredibly helpful creating a fun and vibrant learning environment for the children. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending this school to anyone.
I recently joined the adult swimming lessons and the staff have been very supportive in building my confidence and helping me make progress on the areas that have been causing me problems i.e. I'm no longer inhaling water!. I'm so happy with the swim school that I've now signed up two of my children for lessons here - they've just come back and both had a great time too and can't wait to go again.
My 4yr old daughter Eva just had her first lesson with BSS. She was with Ash, in the Advanced toddlers class, and I just wanted to let you know how happy I was with your teaching. It took Eva outside her comfort zone a little, but the encouragement and excellent instruction has already really boosted her confidence. I'm really glad we've started with you and can't wait to see her progress further.
