Jam is a local Townsville restaurant with several dining and function opportunities available. The team is passionate in showcasing modern seasonally inspired menus while providing a high level of personal and professional service.

Jam is at the top of Townsville's Restaurant strip - Palmer Street, conveniently located to a range of accommodation options. By day it overlooks the relaxing riverfront and by night it captures the bright lights of the city.

We are open for breakfast, lunch and dinner Tuesday - Saturday and Breakfast and Lunch on Sundays. We offer a range of menu choices to suit every need and budget. Try our fabulous degustation menu for any lunch or dinner of the week, or perhaps the tapas menu for Sunday lunch. We have a fantastic wine list to accompany your dining experience.

Jam's boutique function facilities are perfect for any occasion. We have a gorgeous private dining room that seats up to 18 people for a lovely intimate dinner. Upstairs you will see our function room for a cocktail party or dinner. Any event, corporate or personal - we can cater for.

The calamari was the stand out dish! The flavour was incredible! Little disappointing with the bug pasta would've liked more and you can never go wrong with an eye fillet! Delicious  Service was outstanding 

Been here a couple times now and have tried a good selection by now. Really enjoyed myself both times. Food was great and the atmosphere was sophisticated and classy. Service was prompt and professional. Holly serviced us at our last visit and she was very helpful in helping decide our meals/cocktail and her recommendations were spot on.

A busy share plate restaurant. Excellent standard, varied offerings and a good wine selection. The lava cake was a desert worth waiting for.

Wonderful food and even more wonderful service. The staff knew all about the food and wine they served and as I was dining alone stopped for a quick chat a couple of times between serving other people which made me feel incredibly welcome. Well worth a visit if you are in Townsville

For entree we had the goat wonton and bug tortellini. For main we had the duck and beans. Duck was beautifully cooked but others were just ok. Biggest downfall was the dessert - the lava cake was an overcooked muffin see blurry picture. Lovely service - attentive, friendly but little to no knowledge of the wine menu.

I visited on a Tuesday evening. The restaurant has a lovely subdued lighting and matching decor which simply alludes fine dining. I had a glass of Mornington Chardonnay which was beautiful with a pleasing palate and lovely notes on the nose. Very smooth on the throat as well. I ordered the scallops for entree and ravioli for mains. They proved excellent choices and completed a wonderful dining experience.  XO

Just had a beautiful dinner at this restaurant! Didn't have any of the main dishes as I loved the sound of the two entrées pictured in this review. Both were flavourful and so beautifully presented! Tiramusi was gorgeous also, but a little hard to eat because of the chocolate dome it was sitting in. Atmosphere was beautiful, sitting inside wasn't like sitting in a fridge, and the staff was so nice and checked in on us to make sure we were enjoying our time there. Couldn't recommend this place more!

Recently held our intimate wedding reception in The Loft function room. The service we received was second to none and all our guests commented how amazing the food was. Each staff member went out of their way to make sure everything ran smoothly and the room looked so beautiful you didn’t really need to add much styling. Thank you Angela and the team at Jam for all your hard work and making our special day even more special.  Dietary restrictions: We had 3 Celiac guests and all enjoyed a wonderful meal.

We came here for my partner’s birthday and didn’t have a good experience. First, the parking lot was full so we had to park over a km away and walk to the restaurant. Then when we arrived we were put at a table in the back corner of the restaurant. We waited 15+ minutes to be acknowledged and asked what we would like to drink to which we responded water. We waited another 15 minutes to get the water. Another 10-15 minutes later, we went to order our food. My partner wanted to try their tasting menu and I was going to order a regular meal. We were told we were not allowed to do this because both people at the table have to order the $80 tasting menu. We both ordered two different types of steak. Around 20 minutes later, the waitress came out and told us they no longer have what we ordered and we would have to order something else. Our food came about an hour and a half in to our dining experience. The food wasn’t what we had hoped especially for the wait time and price. The restaurant also does not do anything to help celebrate special occasions such as birthdays.  Parking: Not much parking especially if it’s busy

We recently held our work Christmas Party in The Luxe Room and the experience didn’t disappoint. Beautiful decor, intimate and private. The food and cocktails were nothing short of sensational. Our host/waitress Sophia was so kind, polite and professional. She provided the best service and made the occasion feel first class. Highly recommend to anyone.
