A Touch of Salt

Totally in love with their food, had visited a few times over the last year and each experience is fantastic. Service was good, food were on point for its freshness, creativity, combinations of flavours used in all the given ingredients. Found a chef who we came across long ago in another restaurant and happy that he is in this place serving awesome food, atmosphere is great, tables are well spaced apart for adequate privacy. Would be looking forward for my next dining experience with them!

Great food, decent wine menu, relaxed atmosphere, and friendly service. I didn't feel like cooking dinner tonight. Was an early walk-in & didn't have a problem getting a table to myself. I'll definitely come back, and make it my local fancy go-to.

Nice place in Townsville. We had trout wontons, goat cheese gnocchi, prawn okonomiyaki, beef steak and duck breast. Everything was very tasty, but the wontons were highlight for me. Gnocchi were not my cup if tea but these were my partner's choice. Steak was fantastic. Very friendly staff the guy from Greece was so nice. Pleasant atmosphere. Why not 5 stars: too much ice in our drink, cold and dimmed interior. Otherwise recommended for nice dinner. Visited Sep 22

I was there with my husband to celebrate my birthday. The food had a good taste and beautifully arranged. The staff was effecient and helpful during ordering a food. Unfortunately, I could not enjoy the quiet relaxed athmosphere as it was disturbed by a loud company few metres away... They ruined the evening for all of other guests too, as I observed few couples simply left the restaurant after exposure to uncontrolled gomeric laugh from that company! Sadly, waitresses or managers were ignoring the fact that not anyone need a disturbance while they dine in a costly place! I gave to Touch of Salt a 3 stars because of lack of human touch.. and inability to control the situation.

Quite a popular place and stylish. But the food was superb. I ordered a lamb dish roasted lamb, sweet potatoes, salt bush takda, wild rice and makhani sauce and a blood orange cocktail. The flavour was amazing. The lamb slices were slightly crispy on the outside and soft inside with a thin layer of fat to bring out the flavour of the lamb superbly.

Absolutely wonderful. The food was amazing, the staff were fantastic, and the cocktail menu is great. It was the perfect place to celebrate.

Came here for dinner on a Sunday night. The food and service was amazing. Both waiters were exceptional. I didn’t get their names but one male was Greek and the other was a younger guy. The food was fresh, tasty and well portioned. Everything was cooked to perfection fish, octopus & prawns, and so delicious! I highly recommend the Octopus and Kingfish as an entree/starter, and the Trout as a main! In a very nice spot too with a view of the river.

Never have a complaint when I dine here. Mark and his team are super friendly. Food is always a wonderful tastebud explosion. 2-3 courses recommended. Service staff are friendly and know their wine and food menu well. They are happy to recommend a pairing if you need. *Cocktails equally delicious.
