Using the pool, spa and sauna facilities was a good experience. Staff were friendly and professional. Changing rooms were clean and tidy. The pool is an indoor heated, 25 meters in length. A smaller second pool for kids and parents. Lockers were available on request. Rates are reasonable. Car park is ample.
Ivanhoe Aquatic Centre is clean, spacious & very accessable. Mark is a great duty manager: he is so knowledgeable with the various classes and very professional.nI believe that the Ivanhoe & Olympic venues are indeed fortunate to have Mark on their team!
It’s nice size pool and spa. It’s nice to have this near by my home. But I saw 2 cockroaches in the sauna today. I hope they clean it up so I don't have to meet them next time.
I am a member of this gym and purely use the aqua aerobics program. It is an extensive timetable giving me the flexibility to choose between at least two classes a day. Except for Saturday which only has one class at the way-too-early timeslot of 7:15am.nnThe staff are lovely. The pool is 25M.nnThey cap each class to 30 participants. This makes it tricky sometimes as the classes are popular and I have missed out many times in getting a spot in a class so you have to be prepared to be there 20 minutes before a class starts to ensure you get into the class.nnThe spa and sauna are also great but you have to abide by the rules of use. They were so strict about this post the new renovation that I went to Northcote gym for a couple of years because I felt I couldn’t relax in the precious time I had to myself. But it has become less policed now so it is more relaxed again.
Great to have a gym nearby. I would truly appreciate if Council could consider fixing the ventilation in the shower rooms. The air extraction system doesn't cope. Cheers
