I changed my child school from this school to Catholic school, I see a big difference now, my child is happy child now!, she even wants to go to school on weekends because everybody loves her! This school caused Depression, Anxiety and fear to our family especially my child. From my point of view ICOM is just business enterprise , nothing to do with Education.
I love this school I’m right now using my dads phone so anyways I came to the school in 2019 I’m right now in the 4th grade I love it here it’s big the teachers are lovely but what I love more are when students announce a speech lots of people may think it’s lame but it really dose teach you a lot!
School admin has no idea when I asked her questions about enrolment. All she could say they stopped taking admission form for year 1 to 6 and only can apply for prep . She told me that they haven’t taken any admission form for last 2 years as they have too many people on waiting list .so the people applied for year 1 two years back still going to attend year 1 in 2025 /2026 ? When I requested to submit the form for expression of interest I was told it’s not possible coz no one ever leave this school and there will be no spots available . Very disappointing response.
I have got to say generally Icom is a top Islamic school, everyone here incredibly gifted and talented but overall, it is over hyped and overrated. Be prepared for the work overload, you will receive a lot of homework and expected to complete it in a few days. It is really draining and tiring, children are losing sleep due to this. Yes, some teachers do have favourite students and will treat them differently in comparison to others. If you look at the academic results, they are impressive. But their way of education for certain subjects is worse than public, they do teach the same stuff as other schools nothing special or different really. The main difference is the community of kids, most people who get in are smart, this is not due to the school's way of teaching. Though this is an Islamic school people do bully unfortunately. In Arabic they don't teach you any rules or the way of understanding, you memorise that's. Enrol your child if you want but it's honestly overhyped as there are many other great private schools.
These guys apparently do a kinder kid's entrance test just to create a hype to demonstrate how good the school is. When you ask for feedback, they have none. They come up with all kinds of stories. The fact apparently is that the kids are already pre selected based on nationality and they reserve the seats for girls given one of the parents said that girls apparently cooperate better than boys and this will allow school to get better grades. Wasting parents' time is not appreciated, and playing with kids emotionally is a NO. There are lots of schools out there better than this school and I can guarantee. Zero stars to the way they conduct fake entrance test of little kids and all fake stories they come up with!
The teachers are very strict in this school. I got in trouble for short socks.
I’m gonna be fairly honest this school especially in secondary is a dumpster fire. And the teachers are just gas being added to that fire. Worst case is when your a girl. You basically get in trouble for existing. I’ve been reported for the stupidest stuff. And their expectations on work is insane. And the way they have no respect for privacy for the students make it worse. Especially when the teachers are cms away from your face checking if you have makeup or if your socks are too short. Trust me when I say they are more worried about a girl wearing mascara then bullying at this school.
Great school but when I jammed my finger while playing basketball, I went to a teacher and told her what happened, but instead of helping me she just said if it hurt you would of been crying and I explained why it would get swollen but she didn't care so I went to a different teacher and before I told her, she said to me where my hat is because I took it off. I was devastated. After, my finger got swollen a lot. I went to another teacher and she finally understood me and gave me a sick bay note. I'm not sure how teachers don't know what a jammed finger is, maybe they ain't ever played no sports... ALSO WE NEED MORE BASKETBALL COURTS, MAN.
Focus on children and education is zero, Fee is increased and studies are zero
Graduated from here in 2019. The school was amazing.
