Story

Established in 2002, the Innovation Centre Sunshine Coast Pty Ltd, a University of the Sunshine Coast (USC) company, aims to create new jobs in new industries for the Sunshine Coast region.

Located on the edge of the USC campus, the Innovation Centre currently works with over 30 private companies in the ICT, clean technology and health technology industries and offers world-class business support for entrepreneurs and growing companies.

To date, the Innovation Centre has supported the start-up and growth of over 100 businesses, creating around 400 jobs.

The Innovation Centre facility includes a Business Incubator and Accelerator which provide serviced offices, high speed fibre connections, consulting support, investment readiness and networking for both start-up and growth businesses.

The Innovation Centre is such a fantastic resource here on the Sunshine Coast. The 'IC" provides a staggering amount of business support, services, mentoring, office space and advice for anyone wishing to start a business or further develop key skills within the entrepreneurial and start-up ecosystem. I can not recommend the Innovation Centre and its CEO, Mark Paddenburg, & team more highly. Since we joined the IC, we not only have amazing office space, but we've experienced such a high level of business mentoring, entrepreneurship workshops, boardroom briefings, 'Demo-days" and the networking events are a real must if you wish to network and engage with the local start-up and business ecosystem. We absolutely love running our small start-up based here in the Innovation Centre.
