Story

We love our Pet Motel. We designed & built Imparra and have been caring for pets since 1997. We wanted to have a place where the dogs and cats can have a wonderful holiday. We are not dog or cat breeders, our business/hobby is caring for other peoples precious furbabies. We have lovely ladies who care for each and every pet left in our care and we do everything to make their stay a great holiday. We love showing people our Pet Motel because we are so proud of the beautiful place we have created for their fur babies. Every cat has an individual outside verandah area with their inside room with air conditioning. Our dogs have a playground with a pool and our Resort Rooms are second to none. All dogs have a grass yard from their kennels which they can access twice a day. The kennels are fully covered and insulted with roller doors on the outside of the kennels to protect them from the heat and the winter weather. We are so blessed to be able to offer this outstanding facility to people's pets so when they go away they know their dogs and cats are getting the best attention and love they deserve.

STOP and don't look any further for your pet's boarding needs. I brought my pup with me from the states and we've only been here a little over half a year. He has IBD and I almost lost him back in 2020, so I'm EXTREMELY leery of any new foods + places, but I am a maniac when it comes to somewhere for him to stay. My partner and I were going away for a week and I needed to trust somewhere to board Walden, though. I found Imparra through multiple happy mentions on local Facebook groups, did a tour with them where they were happy to book the tour and answer all my crazy dog mum questions, then booked him in. I got a call the morning after dropping him off and they informed me he wasn't eating for him and they'd already tried several methods wetting down his food with boiled water, sitting with him as he ate, etc. and asked if there was anything I could think of that would help. I mentioned to them I really wasn't sure, but bananas did help at home to get him to eat, stressing though I didn't expect them to go buy bananas obviously, and then thanking them for letting me know about it and got off the phone just hoping he would get hungry. I called back later in the afternoon to see if he'd eaten as I was anxious all day about it, and the lady that answered automatically knew him just by his name and told me she'd gone to the store, bought bananas, and gotten him to eat. If I wasn't already crying from the anxiety, I would've teared up from happiness at how kind they were to have done this. When I picked him up, they didn't even charge me any extra for this, even though I know it would've been so much extra work for them. Yes, it may seem to some like a small thing for them to do, but the point is they did not have to do this at all for me and my boy, but they did. I would recommend them over and over to anyone who needs a spot for their pets to stay. They truly care about the animals they're boarding and it means the world to me.  P.S. Walden was super happy having his new friend Milly there to bunk with while mum and dad were away!

Fantastic .  Staff really care about the animals.  My usual kennel closed down during Covid and I was looking for another one.  Trialled about 3 different ones where my dog came back stressed, they said he'd been barking a lot very unlike him or he was pulling the lead when they brought him out to me very unlike him, he's usually mellow but he was super amped up and stressed.  Then I found Imparra. A little paradise. With real grass. Spacious kennels. Their own private grassy areas. A large play area with pool. Caring staff. My dog came back relaxed and happy. No barking at all. He has anxiety around other dogs but they found him friends to play with carefully selected on temperament so he wasn't lonely. My dog stayed here for 5 weeks, when I picked him up he was happy and relaxed and it was clear he was loved by the staff. They are super friendly, patient,  and caring to towards humans as well. I was nervous about leaving my fur baby and they were so helpful and I'm just very happy.

I used Imparra for my dog Bailey when we lived in Australia before so I had no hesitation continuing using them for both our dogs now we've returned. Staff are very friendly, professional and accommodating. Facilities clean and our dogs love it there.

Had my two cats and dog board for 12 days as I had boarded my cats  there two months prior. I collected them a day earlier advised them by email and was told “no refunds during school holidays” so I cancelled my pets next stay in February. Maddie was extremely rude and talked down at me and my  dog was nothing more than skin and bones. She wasn’t well that evening and I stayed up with her all night. She was absolutely starving!!!!! May I suggest to you that if you cherish  your pets PLEASE-DO NOT LEAVE your animals there for boarding. First time cats came back skinny and with runny stools, the same this time round. It took me three weeks to build them up again. I also had to pay them $3 to administer one tablet to my dog. I paid over $1300 to have dry food fed to them and come back ill. Choice is yours to make- but be warned!

My frenchie Bolt stayed with Imparra for the first time in early July for 1 week while I was away on cruise. He come back clean, happy and energized. The staff are absolutely amazing in Imparra, they record everyday of his food intake and activity levels.  I am so glad I finally found a “resort" for Bolt with while I am away. We have stayed in other places in the past Bolt came back very exhausted and skinny, one time we even had eye infections. But Imparra is a whole new wonderful experience for both myself and Bolt. The communication was great, too!  Highly recommended!!! 7 stars

When one of our dogs was fussy with her food, the people at Imparra made broth especially for her, so she would eat. Absolutely brilliant boarding kennels for dogs. We get emailed movies and photos, the dogs play, go for swims, all over awesome.

You guys rock , our 2 baby boys have had a ball over Christmas with u guys, they haven't shut up talking about it and how much love they received from you all. Highly recommend you guys to anyone.  5 stars plus more. Lots of love from Sir Flame and Coco.

Our two boy love going on holiday to Imparra they are well cared for in every aspect of care for dogs and cats, very friendly staff who adore your pets.

We have two staffy x who absolutely adore Imparra. Everytime we ask if they want to go on a holiday they are bounding around the house, excited as ever. Everytime we walk in we are greeted with big smiles and wonderful friendly staff. Kahu has had bad experiences at kennels before and Koda is a rescue and has always been a little scared of new places but they've encouraged them both with so much love that they are right at home and we don't have to worry about leaving them at all. Having a breed that is banned from some kennels has always made me a little anxious but our two are treated like royalty everytime. They also post the cutest updates on Instagram so we can see what they are up to and give them a nice bath so they're sparkly and clean when we pick them up. We cannot thank all the staff at Imparra enough for looking after our babies so we can relax and have a stress free holiday knowing they are doing the same!
