The food was delicious without a doubt. Pizza toppings right up to the edge which is great. Wasn't too sure about ordering and paying first at the counter but that's a personal preference. Decor a little dated. Staff were very friendly and appeared very efficient.Food: 5/5

This lil place in sumner hill can actually take all my money! Their food is outstanding and the portion sizes and beyond generous. Cooked to perfection and service was very lovely! People who say otherwise don’t have valid opinions

What an awesome place. Thank you so much to the team working here. Absolutely delicious pizza and my first ever Tiramasu. Your large Il Capo pizza was so full of toppings that the flavour almost destroyed my senses. By far the best pizza I've ever had. Thank you again.

Don't want to give you a bad review as your pasta was delicious, but the quantity has gone way down and the prices up. I don't mind pay a bit more but not for who seems a lot less food.

Shop was nice and clean. Staff member was very pleasant and helpful.Had the spaghetti and was very good  and tastybut not as good as mine. Garlic pizza was tasty. Would definitely try again

This place is actuals 10/10 creamed my pants over the pesto alla genovese

Love this place! The pizza is always well stocked with topping and taste great. The price is fantastic for the value. The service is always fast and friendly. Only wish they had more pizza options.

Tasty large portions. Try the 12inch pizza. Great value. And spaghetti marinara

I have been here multiple times because my partner loves it here but I cannot stand the food. I have tried the il capo pizza, bushman pizza, hawaiian pizza, creamy chicken fettucini, spag bol and lasagne and they were all awful. I gave several meals a chance and have tried a decent range of their food over the last two years and it is just not nice. I guess this is one of those places either you love it or hate it.

I was really impressed at the food at Il Capo. Both the pizza and the pasta that we ate were remarkably good. Definitely this cafe has the best Italian food in Palmerston North. Staff were friendly and fun balancing about 50 empty pizza boxes was amazing . My only criticism was the cafe was a bit cold, but realise that most people get takeaways. Also remember to take your wine or beer as that is the licence the cafe has.
