I went to Buddina IGA and asked the butcher to slice into steaks a porterhouse roast they have on sale. He arrogantly told me no, that I had to slice it on my own because it was so cheap. I told him that the IGA I usually go to I've just moved did it for me all the time. He still said he wouldn't do it. I was the only customer in the store so it's not as though he didn't have time. I then drove the 15 minutes to my old IGA and they did it happily. This was almost $120 in business that Buddina IGA just lost. This store is always empty so when it closes as the north Buderim store did and the old butcher is out of a job I'm not going to feel sorry for him in the least. I'd give Buddina IGA a big fat '0' if I could. IGA head office management needs to tell this store to pull their head out because they are giving the IGA brand a bad name. Disgraceful service.
Love love love this place....nBest shopping on the Sunshine Coast... No questionnThe owner is absolutely amazing and a beautiful lady..nShe gets the staff to watch my Milly whilst I do a quick shop instead of teathering her up to a post outside.... wow .. the best organic food on the Sunshine Coast..na shop that cares, and you can see the love in the quality of produce and home style food available here....nIt the best shopping experience I have ever had and it's an absolute joy and pleasure to shop here..
Went in for chocolate, bread and cordial and came out with everything but that it was so distracting in the best way! as soon as I stepped in with all the displays for gifts and specialty relishes, jams etc. They had so many things that you can't find at the big supermarket stores, but the downside of that is that the prices are a lot higher. However I did find that if I got the specials, they were more affordable and in-line with the big stores. The good part of this is knowing the money goes back to locals though, which is always good, and the more senior check-out lady was absolutely lovely and so friendly.
Great little local shop, excellent meat, cheeses, international confectionary and condiments. I love stopping here as I always spot something new as well as old favourites. Not cheap compared to supermarkets but diverse for a small shop. Fresh fruit and veg - because it isn’t is biggest downfall.
What a great shopping experience today at Kawana IGA. I couldn’t find something I needed and the very helpful Kath made it happen for me.nI have to say the kindness of the staff as well as the quality of the produce makes this place a pleasure to shop.
