I was really surprised to see Big W selling Matchbox cars from Mattel at $5 each. For what’s always been an affordable toy and collectable, the price feels way too steep, especially when other retailers often sell them for less. These are small die-cast cars that have been a staple for kids and collectors for years, but $5 for one just doesn’t feel like good value. I hope Big W reconsiders their pricing, because at this rate it’s hard to justify buying them here.
I am really disapointed with Big W because of how hard it is to get into contact with anyone. I was just trying to make a booking for balloons to get filled up with helium, it took me about 30 minutes just to get to the right store and person to talk to. After I explained that I am unable to come in simply to make a booking, they were not interested in helping me out in any way. I will support someone else who actually wants my business.
I used to think Big W was one of the lower places to shop, but the more time I spend here, my opinion changes. I just love the lady they have who greets you when you walk in, she even let me snap a picture with her today. Highly recommended department store. Check out my full review at googlereviewqueen.com
Went to pick up a lay-by today but was told if it's an online layby you can't pay the rest of the balance in-store and even if you pay the rest online on the day, you have to allow a day or 2 to collect it.nFelt like my items were being held hostage.nThe only way to collect my lay-by on the day I was told, is to cancel the order with a $20 fee and then re-pay for the items again. I didn't want to come back again as it was a gift and I needed it now.nAbsolutely ridiculous!!!!.nWhat a waste of time and money and a ridiculous policy.nSomething that should have been very simple, ended up being very complicated and an extra cost.
It's a big w... As expected, including the self serve cash registers that fail every time you use them. -1 starnnApart from that, good prices on branded and big w own brand goods.
