ibis budget Canberra

I guess we were a little bit persuaded by the photos on the website - our room definitely didn’t look like that. Very budget - as the name suggests. Tiny rooms, no wardrobe space, bed in weird position, tiny TV and the bathroom was not nice. Nonetheless the lady at the front desk was very friendly and accommodating.

As the name says, this is a budget hotel. However, for the dollars it is very good. Some minor cleanliness issues on check in were sorted immediately. Staff were great, helpful and friendly at all hours - even when we were running a bit late for check-in.

Basic rooms as expected but staff are the most friendly i have met, and go out of their way to make your stay a happy one. Welcoming front desk staff like these are rarely found at hotels triple the price or more. Thank you.

Stayed at Ibis for 3 days. The service was amazing. Really friendly and helpful staff. The rooms are not too bad. Was staying on the 2nd floor of the hotel. It does not have lifts at the hotels which can be a problem for elderly folk. The cleaning staff comes daily to change the towels for you. They have only body soaps and no toothpaste in the room. Rooms have air conditioning and heating to use at your discretion. They do have continental breakfast in the morning from 7am to 9:30am daily.

The air conditioning filter and ventilation in the shower were full of dust which is easy to miss, but everything else was perfect.
